India's highly anticipated pace attack will feature Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, and Shardul Thakur.

Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel are featuring as the two all-rounders in the squad with Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal replacing the experienced duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja after the Test series.

Kohli who has enjoyed enough rest and has had a leisurely time since his wedding, is now all set to return as the Captain in the limited overs fixtures. This is going to be a test of character for Kohli and his men.

Selectors have chose to give young batsman Shreyas Iyer, who scored back to back half-centuries against Sri Lanka, an extended run. His 88 runs against the neighbours in the 2nd ODI was highly impressive as he and Rohit Sharma thrashed the Lankans in Mohali where the in-stand skipper made his third double-hundred.

Kedar Jadhav, who suffered a hamstring injury in early December and has not played any cricket since, has also been picked. It was young Washington Sundar who received his maiden call-up in place of injured Jadhav. While Umesh Yadav has been ignored.

India play their first ODI on February 1 in Kingsmead, Durban. Chairman of selectors MSK Prasad made it clear that they are looking to give Yadav and Chahal a longer rope since they had chose to look at wrist spinners after the Champions Trophy. Suresh Raina continues to be overlooked by selectors even after passing the Yo-Yo test last week.

The ODI series will be followed a three-match T20I series, finally concluding the tour on February 24.

Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Manish Pandey, Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik continue to form a top and middle-order.
