Cohen has not been charged with a crime.
U.S. Attorney Robert Khuzami, in a motion filed with a U.S. District Court judge in NY, redacted the alleged criminal conduct for which Mr. Cohen is being investigated.
A court filing did not detail what Cohen is under investigation for.
Agents collected electronic devices and documents in the raid. A brief they filed in response to Cohen's court action revealed that he'd been under investigation for months and that the FBI had searched multiple email accounts.
Prosecutors maintain, however, that Cohen was "performing little to no legal work, and that zero emails were exchanged with President Trump".

Agents also sought records on Cohen's taxi business, CNNreported.
Even so, prosecutors said they have provided Cohen and his lawyers with documents that describe the federal criminal statutes under which Cohen is being investigated.
Public corruption prosecutors in the U.S. attorney's office in Manhattan are trying to determine, according to one person familiar with the investigation, if there was any fraud related to payments to McDougal or Clifford. Sources told ABC News that investigators were also searching for records of any discussions Cohen held about the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape released in October 2016 in which Trump can be heard bragging to host Billy Bush in 2005 that "when you're a star" women let men "do anything", including "grab them by the p--". The source pointed out that the only two people who know if there is anything there are the President and Cohen.
The alleged call took place while attorneys separately representing Trump and Cohen were asking a federal judge to restrict the Justice Department from reviewing communications between Trump and Cohen.
Herndon, Trump's lawyer, said that after the process is resolved, the ultimate outcome on what documents are deemed unprivileged may produce new litigation.
Hendon also told the judge that she has conveyed her concerns about the use of a "taint team" in the Cohen raids.
Stephen Ryan, a lawyer for Mr. Cohen, referred to his earlier description of the raid as "completely inappropriate and unnecessary".
Legal experts said Mr Cohen's taped conversations would be viewed by prosecutors as highly valuable. CNN also reported that Trump called Cohen on Friday.
Under US law, communications between attorneys and their clients are privileged and must remain confidential, but judges can grant exceptions in cases involving criminal wrongdoing.
"It is neither apparent that Cohen, in his capacity as an attorney, has many, or any, attorney-client relationships other than with President Donald Trump", it said.
