Nationwide search for grandmother accused of 2 killings

Family says woman was murdered by friend who stole her identity to hide from police Nationwide hunt underway for Lois Riess, grandmother and accused killer

Meanwhile, surveillance video released Monday shows a Riess in a Florida bar smiling and talking with a fellow patron whom police say she later killed. Police say she eventually ended up in Fort Myers, in Lee County on Florida's Gulf Coast, where she found Pamela Hutchinson, 59. She was last known to be in the Corpus Christi, Texas area and is believed to be driving Hutchinson's white Acura TL with Florida license plate Y37TAA.

Lee County Undersheriff says while Riess "may look like anyone's mother or grandmother, she's an absolute cold-blooded murderer".

Reiss is considered armed and risky and should not be approached.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has announced it is preparing second-degree murder charges over the death of Riess' husband.

Riess is also wanted on felony theft charges for allegedly transferring close to $10,000 from a bank account for her husband's business to another of his personal accounts before forging his signature on three checks totaling $11,000.

Riess is believed to have befriended Hutchinson in Fort Myers, Fla., before killing her and stealing her identity. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

"It was just evil", Jeffreys said.

Authorities learned that Lois Riess may have been at Diamond Jo Casino in Iowa.

The obituary for David Riess was published last week, and mentioned his children and grandchildren, but not wife.

In a report from CBS Minnesota, "Police went to the couple's residence in Blooming Prairie and discovered (her husband) dead inside the home".

Surveillance footage caught her leaving Hutchinson's home and allegedly taking her vehicle.

On the "Today" broadcast, Marceno said that Riess will run out of money and could possibly kill again.
