DICE Is Apparently Working On A Battlefield 5 Battle Royale Mode

PUBG: 9 Features It Needs To Compete With Fortnite 'Fortnite' collides with 'PUBG' in this amazing live-action short

"Fortnite Battle: Royale" is not shutting down despite what a supposed Epic Games tweet says. That being said, numerous files seen in their findings have already come to pass in the game, so there are a lot of reasons to feel this report's authenticity.

Battle royale is nothing new but the game mode has proven to be quite successful for games like Fortnite and PUBG.

According to a Venturebeat source, EA studio DICE is testing a battle royale mode for Battlefield 5 that riffs on the gameplay of megahits like Fortnite and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.

EA is the latest publisher hoping to insert a battle royale mode into its marquee franchise. The plan seems to be to first develop the system and then add it to the game after the fact as a free download. It could become an add-on for Battlefield V, or go to Battlefront, or even become its own separate game. Polygon reported that this new COD title may not feature any single-player campaign.

Players from across the globe have shown their support for the game since release, including high-profile athletes, celebrities, and other notable individuals getting in on the action.

This comes after Fortnite Battle Royale's next weekly challenges have leaked ahead of time, which will surely interest fans who are intent on filling up their Season 3 Battle Pass.

Having finely elucidated the necessary, for those of the uninitiated amongst us, "Fortnite" is an online co-op game that has its platform set on parallel planet earth that has been thoroughly ravaged by a storm, leaving behind plagued lands and infected zombie-like creatures.

What's less certain at this time is how DICE will get the mode to work.

Players are seeing the Matchmaking button appear in their games since last week's update. And Fortnite Battle Royale feels like a finished product now thanks to its slick menus, customization options, and a comprehensive list of player stats. "Let us know how you would like to see private matches used".
