The new sleep mode will allow parents to set predetermined times that Messenger Kids can not be used, whether that's a blocked out time for homework, during the night, or other times decided upon by the guardian. The new "sleep mode" feature will give the parents the ability to set designated daily "off times" when Messenger Kids will go to sleep. The mode is controlled from the Parent Control centre in the parent's Facebook account and the "off times" can be changed at any time.
If your kid attempts to access the app during blocked hours, they'll receive a simple message telling them to come back at the appropriate time to access Messenger Kids again.
Facebook has always remained in question to providing donations or some sort of financial assistance to some of the advisors who have been supportive towards its Messenger Kids app. Still, some parents found disturbing videos were making it into the app and were viewable because they were not caught by the human curators.
Setting up the account for each child will give parents the option of setting limits to what videos can be displayed and played.
Facebook launched the messaging app aimed at kids under 13 in December. Moreover, the app allows Parents to add or delete contacts, and sends them notifications if their children report or block anyone they have been chatting with. But some child development experts have called for Facebook to pull it, saying it should not be making apps for kids. Then, you can set the times that you want your child to not have access to the device.
It's been almost five months since Facebook launched the child-focused Messenger Kids. Messenger Kids application is absolutely for free and you can download the app for both, iOS and Android platform for free.
