John Kelly says reports he called Trump 'an idiot' are 'total BS'

What do you think that is filled with?

Kelly has denied the whole NBC report, calling it "BS" in a statement.

NBC reported Kelly had on multiple occasions criticised Trump's knowledge on issues such as immigration and has cast himself as a protecting the country from Trump's impulses.

Last July, former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson reportedly called Trump a "moron" during a meeting at the Pentagon with members of the president's national security team and other cabinet officials.

"He doesn't even understand what DACA is".

"I spend extra time with the President than anybody else and we've got an extremely candid and robust relationship", Kelly mentioned in an announcement. In early March, Trump was said to be "red-hot about Kelly trying to control him", diving headlong into a trade war with China as a "fuck-you to Kelly".

As expected, the news of John Kelly's reported criticism didn't go over well with Donald Trump who was quick to lash out with a pair of tweets on April 30.

The president also insisted that the White House "is running very smoothly".

In February, Kelly came under fire for his role in the ousting of former White House aide Rob Porter.

Eight unnamed sources told NBC News that Kelly sees himself as the country's savior and that he constantly insults the president's intelligence.

Officials said Kelly's public image as a retired four-star general instilling discipline on a chaotic White House and an impulsive president belies what they describe as the undisciplined and indiscreet approach he's employed as chief of staff. In another statement more than 24 hours later, Kelly said he was "shocked by the new allegations", but continued to defend Porter, who called the claims "a coordinated smear campaign".

Whether or not Kelly has a reason to think that he's "saving" the country, it appears that if these officials are correct, then his influence over Trump helped to keep the US both more engaged in Korea and less welcoming to immigrants.

"He has evolved in the way he's looked at things", Kelly said.

Last month, Trump blasted the fact that the USA had American men and women stationed at the South and North Korean border, but did not protect its own borders with service members.

Kelly provided Trump with two names for consideration: Kobach and Kelly's deputy, Kirstjen Nielsen.
