Instagram quietly launches payments for commerce After Messenger and Whatsapp, Facebook spotted testing Instagram payments feature to take on rival Snapchat

Native payments will make this redundant, and allow for the whole purchase process to take place on Instagram itself. With the new feature, users will be able to book services from a limited number of businesses on the platform.

If you are reading the post, the chances are you may be already having at least one UPI based payment app and you may also be happy with that but who doesn't want to try the new features that also when it's about the most popular mobile app WhatsApp.

Unlike the Messenger and WhatsApp payments feature, the Instagram feature isn't about peer-to-peer payments.

As I have mentioned, the WhatsApp Payments is still not released for all users and its still under the testing stage but if you haven't got the option to test it or try it then read the following steps to get it now.

In March past year, Instagram had announced that it planned to provide business profiles an option to allow users to book services directly on the app.

To enable the update, Instagram users must have a business profile, sell physical goods and have a product catalogue through Facebook or an integrated partner.

The function has started to pop up for some in the United Kingdom and USA, prompting speculation that it is part of a test run for a future global roll-out. If Instagram does find the feature useful and makes it available to all its userbase, it can go a long way to help businesses that run on Instagram.

To use the payments feature, Instagram users can head to the Settings option in the app and add their card details. Earlier in 2017, Instagram had claimed that it will let users book appointments and make reservations. The rollout of the payments feature has also been confirmed by Instagram.

'We plan to continue evolving Instagram business profiles.

In the days to come, Instagram will reportedly bring payments feature for booking movie tickets. The photo-sharing app will soon receive AR camera effects that will offer better camera experiences, including face filters and effects, to the users.

On this recent update, there will be a "Shop Now" button directing users to the product page on the brand's store.
