The show picked up three years later from where it left off last season and has even taken Kerry Washington's Scandal slot.

Sorry, "Designated Survivor" and "Quantico" fans: ABC has axed both dramas.

Meanwhile, the network has also announced that it has passed on the pilot for a reboot of the 80s comedy-drama The Greatest American Hero, which starred Hannah Simone (New Girl) in the role of the titular hero.

According to EW, the Federal Bureau of Investigation drama has been averaging 2.4 million viewers and a 0.5 in the 18-49 demographic. Plus, it was logistically hard to continue with the show as the production took place in Toronto, the writers' room is situated Los Angeles, and creator David Guggenheim is based in NY.

Episodes of the third season of the hit show are averaging a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.3 million total viewers, according to Neilson's rating.

Bollywood actress starrer Quantico's fourth season has been cancelled, according to a report by Variety.

Quantico, which is produced by ABC Studios and the Mark Gordon Company, first aired in 2014. It was a good two season run hence the third one came out in a huge capacity but it seems that people have lost interest in the Alex Parrish's story. "Priyanka is the biggest Indian artist globally today and a flawless fit for the film as she brings to the table her incredible talent and global appeal".

Besides Priyanka Chopra, Quantico also featured Aunjanue Ellis, Josh Hopkins, Jake McLaughlin, Yasmine Al Massri, Marlee Matlin and Johanna Braddy. The series was retooled for season 3 with new showrunner Michael Seitzman taking over for Joshua Safran.

The past week has been cutthroat for western television as a number of popular shows were cancelled.
