Paul, who injured his leg in the fourth quarter of Houston's Game 5 win on Thursday, was a game-time decision on Monday, but the Rockets but the Rockets reportedly concluded that he just couldn't play through the injury.

James scored 35 points, snared 15 rebounds and dished out nine assists in another epic performance that underscored his status as the best player in the game today. After struggling to run back on defense, Paul paced around before leaving the game.

On Saturday, the Warriors looked more like the team that swept through the West previous year than the one that has struggled offensively against the Rockets. Steph Curry contributed 29 points on 12-of-23 shooting, connecting on 5-of-14 3-point attempts.

Will the Rockets have Chris Paul for Game 7? I'm sure Harden will step up and probably have his biggest scoring night of the series, but unless the Warriors hand them a bunch of turnovers to gift them some free points, I don't see the Rockets having enough to get the win here. The Rockets can't blame this loss exclusively on Paul's hamstring injury, but his absence had a clear effect on Houston's already thin rotation.

The Cavs and Celtics played game seven of the Eastern Conference finals in Boston on Sunday - the first time since 1979 that both the Eastern and Western finals went seven games. They had 25 in the entire second half. It's easier to go with the Warriors if Chris Paul is ruled out for tonight's game.

After being down by 10 at halftime of Game 6, the Warriors trailed by 11 entering the third quarter on Monday night. Missing Game 7 against the Warriors is the worst scenario in the world to him.

Now, the Warriors find themselves in the position that malaise has left them: facing a Game 7 here at Toyota Center against the Houston Rockets, who led the National Basketball Association with 65 victories this season.

The Rockets had the Warriors where they wanted them in Game 6. He hasn't yet tested the hamstring, according to D'Antoni.

If the Rockets manage to pull off the upset in front of their home-court crowd, there is hope for a competitive finals series after all, with Paul still rehabbing.

"We've got too much talent not just to hit singles like coach (Steve Kerr) always says and trust the next man ahead of us because it will end up working in our favor most of the time".

The Warriors are one win away from a fourth straight NBA Finals, while the Rockets seek their first Finals trip since 1995.
