When asked if he might get his own show, he said, "You've heard more than I have".

On Tuesday, after Roseanne Barr sent out a racist tweet in reference to former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, ABC swiftly pulled the plug on her revived sitcom, Roseanne.

Despite apologising for her negative comment about former Barack Obama aide Valerie Jarrett and claiming she was quitting Twitter in remorse, Barr is still using the website to fight her corner.

Speaking on an MSNBC town hall program that aired late Tuesday, Jarrett said that she was "fine" and that she was more "worried about all the people out there who don't have a circle of friends and followers who come right to their defense".

WGRZ-TV (Channel 2) did a story about Caputo's pipe dream, with anchor Scott Levin introducing the piece by Kelly Dudzik by saying "Roseanne's show might be able to make a comeback sooner that you think".

ABC's decision to scrap Barr's show renewed criticism regarding MSNBC anchor Joy Reid, who is accused of authoring recently unearthed blog posts that critics have described as "homophobic".

Lake County Republican Committeeman Ralph Smith posted an image of Valerie Jarrett and a character from "Planet of the Apes" on Facebook with the caption, "And the issue with Roseanne is?"

Tom Arnold, actor and ex-husband of Roseanne Barr, said Wednesday he was not surprised by the cancellation of ABC's hit sitcom "Roseanne" after the show's star went on a racist Twitter rant. Or every black parent I know who has a boy who has to sit down and have a conversation, "the talk" as we call it. In any other industry, if you go to bat for your friend and join hands with them in a business deal only for them to screw you over that is your loss. "I mistakenly thought she was white", she wrote, a day after she said, "i thought she was saudi [sic]". "She is a f-king asshole, but so am I. No one ever stood up to her like I did".

"The president is pointing to the hypocrisy in the media", she said. "I made a mistake I wish I hadn't but...don't defend it please. ty".

Channing Dungey, President of ABC Entertainment, condemned Barr's comments, which she called "abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values".

ABC's abrupt cancellation of Roseanne cost about 200 actors, writers and crew members their job. The trio, who were also a part of the original cast in the 1980s and 1990s, recently negotiated salary increases up to $300,000 an episode.
