On the first day of its release, Sanju earned Rs 34.75 Crore and became the biggest opener at the box office of 2018. The anticipation around this film was high after fans saw Ranbir stepping into Sanjay Dutt's shoes and his transformation blew everyone's mind when the teaser and the trailer of the film were out. The film is now at number position with highest opening day collection.




Sanju is a prestigious project that is going to have a grand release tomorrow in the theatres. Sanju film director Rajkumar Hirani held a special screening of the film at Yashraj Film studio where various film celebrities also invited for the screening including Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, Manyata Dutt, Priya Dutt, Manisha Koirala, Ranbir Kapoor and few other people. The reviews of the film - both from the critics as well as the audience - have been mixed, but Kapoor's performance has earned appreciation across quarters. With the weekend and following days, the revenue of the film is expected to soar higher. It will also see Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Karishma Tanna, Jim Sarbh and Vicky Kaushal. The Rajkumar Hirani directed Sanjay Dutt biopic was one of the hotly anticipated films of the year.
