SHAMELESS: Democrat Says Strzok Should Receive PURPLE HEART for Anti-Trump Texts

Controversial FBI official to testify about private text messages on Trump FBI agent Peter P. Strzok front arrives for a House Judiciary Committee meeting June 27 in Washington DC

Republican lawmakers berated FBI agent Peter Strzok Thursday over his professed dislike of Trump during the 2016 campaign, when he worked on both the Russian Federation investigation and the Clinton email probe, but they completely ignored the real evidence that hatred for a candidate influenced the outcome of the election.

"Lisa Page has finally agreed to appear before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees for a transcribed interview tomorrow", Goodlatte said in a statement.

The incident was one of several occasions throughout the hours-long hearing that Strzok faced personal attacks from Republicans including Gohmert, as well as Jim Jordan of Ohio, Trey Gowdy of SC and Bob Goodlatte of Virginia.

Strzok also said he was one of the few people during the 2016 USA election who knew the details of Russian election interference and its possible connections with people in the Trump orbit, and that information could have derailed Trump's election chances.

At one point, Rep. Louis Gohmert, a Texas Republican, invoked Strzok's personal life by alluding to the fact the texts were exchanged while he and Page were in a relationship.

Strzok, who has already spoken to the House Judiciary and Oversight and Government Reform committees behind closed doors, is expected to testify publicly before the panels Thursday.

"I truly believe that today's hearing is just another victory notch in Putin's belt and another milestone in our enemies' campaign to tear America apart", Strzok said.

"A direct strike at democracy and what this country is about with free and fair elections". (The investigation was handed over to special counsel Robert Mueller in mid-2017.) Republicans quickly objected and threatened to hold Strzok in contempt. Democrats noted that it was unusual that Strzok be asked to disclose such details in a public setting.

The dossier, compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele at the behest of the research firm Fusion GPS, is 35 pages long, and alleged that the Kremlin had been "cultivating, supporting, and assisting" President Donald Trump for years under the direct supervision of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Mr Strzok would note at one point that information about a Russian offer to help the Trump campaign was of "extraordinary significance" and came from an "extraordinarily sensitive and credible source".

The inspector general found no evidence that investigative decisions were affected by the political bias of Page, Strzok or others at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, but issued a report that was nevertheless harshly critical of their conduct, saying the texts exhibited a willingness to take official action to prevent Trump from becoming president.

"But the thought of exposing that information never crossed my mind", Strzok said.

"Let me be clear", Strzok told more than three dozen members of Congress, as if his online activity hadn't been clear enough.

The Justice Department's inspector general has criticized Strzok and Page for creating the appearance of impropriety. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) for their role in what shaped up to be a show trial of the FBI agent accused of protecting former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and attempting to influence an FBI investigation of President Donald Trump's election campaign. And FBI Counsel has instructed him not to answer the question. Together with her lover, FBI Agent Peter Strzok, she worked on the Rigged Witch Hunt, perhaps the most tainted and corrupt case EVER!

Strzok is attending the public hearing after he was also subpoenaed last week. Page will attend a closed-door interview on Friday with the committees.
