Demi Lovato was rushed to hospital last week, after suffering a suspected drug overdose. "She's been heavily using and her friends have been very anxious that this was going to happen".

"Momma, I'm so sorry I'm not sober anymore / Daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor", she sings in the song's chorus.

The rep also stated that some of the information being reported is "incorrect" and Lovato's family "respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now".

Her former boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama has visited Lovato "every day he can" since her hospitalization, according to Entertainment Tonight.

"I care about Demi just like all of you do". There is no need for any negativity towards the ones who care about Demi at this time.

'I know you're all feeling lost without her at this moment in time. "Remember that you have always been a community of Lovatics who LOVE", Vitale said.

"Please remember that when you take out your phones and start typing".

In her YouTube documentary released previous year called Demi Lovato, Simply Complicated, she openly discusses her cocaine use and battles with alcohol.

"Demi is resting and getting better, while her whole family and Wilmer Valderrama are there to support her through her recovery". Our thoughts are with her as she recovers.

A second insider adds, "It's too soon to say what the next steps are in terms of entering treatment". "It's been an incredibly difficult few days, and this year has easily been the hardest I've ever experienced", he wrote on his Instagram Stories Sunday.

An insider told TMZ she is "very, very sick" with extreme nausea and a high fever - complications related to the original overdose.

Lovato is well known for her struggle with substance abuse for years, and recently she gave fans a sneak peek into her life when she talked about her struggles with addiction in the documentary- "Simply Complicated".

'She is doing OK, but is still being monitored, ' they told People.
