Six other man were also given sentences for sexually abusing the young boy.

Berrin was sentenced to 12½ years in prison while Christian received a 12-year sentence in Freiburg state court.

The man, whose name wasn't released for German privacy reasons, was sentenced to ten years in prison and fined €18,000 euros (£16,080).

Those pedophiles paid as much as $11,500 each time they abused him, and prosecutors identified more than 50 overall acts of rape, abuse, humiliation, and bondage.

Police arrested the couple a year ago after being tipped off by an anonymous person.

A German court handed down lengthy jail sentences to Berrin Taha (held by policeman) and her husband Christian Lais (sitting left) for pimping their son online.

It is reported that the court found the mother and her beau guilty of molesting the 10-year-old boy. The court ruled that the man, who had a previous conviction for child sex offenses, must remain in preventive custody after serving his sentence.

On Monday, the court also jailed a Spanish man to 10 years in prison for repeatedly sexually abusing the boy. The girl, who had mental health issues, had on several occasions been given to the 48-year-old woman by her mother to care for her.

The couple distributed videos of the sexual abuse across the dark net, selling it for large sums of money.

Police in the town of Baden-Württemberg reported they had arrested a number of suspects in September 2017, reported Deutsche Welle.

As part of this morning's verdict, the couple were also ordered to pay €42,500 in compensation to the boy and another survivor of the abuse - a young girl.

The mother's partner was supposed to be banned from having contact with children.

Mr Bürgelin then said the abuse continued out of financial incentives.

Local authorities have been accused of failing to protect the boy, who now lives with a foster family.
