North Korea accuses USA of 'spreading falsehoods' in damming statement

John Bolton Says North Korea Hasn't Done Much To Rid Itself Of Nuclear Weapons White House adviser Bolton urges North Korea to act on denuclearization

The Kim Jung Un regime is claims U.S.is making "outrageous arguments" that North Korea has to denuclearize first; Greg Palkot reports.

The stark comments come after Trump and Kim's June meeting in Singapore, during which the White House said the North had made firm pledges to rid itself of its nuclear weapons.

USA officials, according to North Korea, "are making baseless allegations against us and making desperate attempts at intensifying the worldwide sanctions", against what they believe to be Trump's intentions to better relations between the two countries.

But there was no financial transaction made, which would constitute another violation of the United Nations sanctions, as the companies took coal in return for mediating trade between North Korea and Russia, Roh said.

Ri told Rouhani that Washington's pullout from the 2015 pact and restoration of sanctions was an "action against global rules and regulations", IRNA said. Some experts say that North Korea does not want to denuclearize first or maybe denuclearize at all because it wants a long, drawn-out process that sees external aid shipped in in return for abandoning nuclear weapons.

The unidentified spokesperson also warned that there is no guarantee that the hard-won atmosphere of stability on the Korean Peninsula will continue.

Pyongyang insisted that the USA should reciprocate to the North's suspension of missile launches and nuclear tests and other goodwill gestures such as the return of remains of American troops killed in the Korean War.

A statement from the North Korean government, broadcast via the Korea Central News Agency, accused U.S. figures of spouting "falsehoods" about the North Korean nuclear issue.

North Korean officials have toured China to discuss economic development and speculators are snapping up property along their common border.

Pyongyang's state media has highlighted it has made goodwill gestures, such as a moratorium on nuclear and missile tests, the dismantling of a nuclear site, and the return of the remains of USA soldiers killed in the 1950-53 Korean War. It also wasn't clear when another leaders' summit might happen.

The Korean Peninsula is still technically in a state of war because the 1950-53 fighting ended with a ceasefire, not a peace treaty.

Asked about the possibility of additional meetings, Bolton said Trump in a recent letter to Kim proposed sending Pompeo back to North Korea, and that Trump was ready to meet with Kim any time.
